Our Mission

Strummerville is a registered charity that gives support to aspiring musicians and help to projects that help change the world through music.

Set up by the friends and family of Joe Strummer in the year after his death, the charity seeks to reflect Joe's unique contribution to the music world by offering support, resources and performance opportunities to artists who would not normally have access to them.

Strummerville’s director, Trish Whelan, is trying to maintain an ethos where young people feel comfortable expressing themselves through music. The charity’s website gives a platform to aspiring artists, who can offer free downloads and links to their bands’ websites. “It gives them a platform to communicate with a community of people who actually care,” she says.

LOVE PEACE AND HAPPINESS TO ALL THIS CHRISTMAS
