Biography

22 year old Dan Smith is a refreshing burst of true musical beauty. With a perfectly played pop voice that sways into an operatic powerhouse with total ease, he loops hand claps, percussions and harmonies then ties it all in with opposing key melodies to create a remarkable ensemble of sounds.

Alternating between impressive solo shows and full band extravaganzas incorporating drums, bass and strings, Dan has been invited to support the likes of Kid Harpoon, Frank Turner and VV Brown. With support from Xfm's John Hilcock and Phil Clifton, who have repeatedly played his music on their shows, he looks set to build on these early ripples with his debut singles and make crashing waves of noise that will be difficult to ignore.
