A friend just turned me on to Tom McKean's Emperors. This is grown up stuff - think Tom Waits / Nick Cave etc. Its the songwriting that really stands up though. 'A Little Something' is a classic example. And the voice, deep & dark over the most delicate of playing. They've been causing a stir and quite rightly too. Certainly one to watch out for in 2008.
