Douglas Dare hales from West Dorset and confesses to being influenced by Bombay Bicycle Club, Grizzly Bear and Thom Yorke, but his piano based indie sound also draws comparison to a sombre Bastille and fellow storyteller Patrick Wolf.
Early demos “Glorious Feeling” and “London’s Rose” display an intuitive sense of melody, bubbling with a striking piano part and lyrics alongside homegrown nougats of pop splendour.
