Strummerville is a registered charity that gives support to aspiring musicians and help to projects that help change the world through music.
Set up by the friends and family of Joe Strummer in the year after his death, the charity seeks to reflect Joe's unique contribution to the music world by offering support, resources and performance opportunities to artists who would not normally have access to them.

We are releasing a 10th anniversary Joe Strummer calendar for 2012. Marking 10 years since Joe Strummer’s passing, the calendar will include 12 months of Strummer’s most inspirational quotes, previously un-seen images and hand-written artifacts from his personal archive.
“We are very excited to present this calendar as our first offering for Joe’s 10th anniversary next year. It’s interesting how even ten years after Joe’s passing some of his words of wisdom are more pertinent now than ever before and we hope that this is reflected in the calendar and that it will be celebrated by Strummer fans around the world.” - Strummerville
We will also be releasing two Joe Strummer Christmas cards this year. One is Joe’s last hand-drawn Christmas card (Strummer would send hand-drawn Christmas cards to his close friends every year) and one is this previously never seen before photo of Joe, taken by Bob Gruen in New York, when Joe was giving money to a homeless person.
“I never saw Joe pass a needy or homeless person without giving them something.” – Bob Gruen
Delighted to share photos and this video clip from the opening of the music room at Tilinanu in Malawi. As there is no formal musical education in schools our music room opens up door ways that Tilinanu never dreamt of before, as well as benefiting the local community too!
We were honoured to be able to help this wonderful project and thanks to everyone who has helped us help them.
We are delighted that work on the music room at the Tillinanu orphanage in Milawi is now almost complete.
The room will be finished in the next few weeks and will give the children who live there there a space for music and singing and will be a space that will bring that community closer together.
Spanning the last five years, Revolution Rock has been celebrating the life and music of The Clash/ Mescaleros front man Joe Strummer with a series of packed out shows in Sydney and Melbourne.
