Our Mission

Strummerville is a registered charity that gives support to aspiring musicians and help to projects that help change the world through music.

Set up by the friends and family of Joe Strummer in the year after his death, the charity seeks to reflect Joe's unique contribution to the music world by offering support, resources and performance opportunities to artists who would not normally have access to them.

Call To Action for Friends of Strummerville…

This Is A Public Service Announcement…

Hey people,

We are writing to request a few moments of your time to ask you to consider making a donation to Strummerville. However small, all donations are greatly received and really help us to continue our work.

85p in every £1 donated to us goes directly into supporting new music, nurturing new talent and developing projects and programmes. All of which offer opportunities to people through music who would not normally have access to this type of help.

Our expenditure:

♦ 55% support for new music and emerging talent
♦ 30% support for projects and initiatives that give opportunities to people through music
♦ 15% running costs

As long standing Friends of Strummerville you know the kind of work we do and we hope that you feel part of a movement that is making a real difference to people’s lives through music.

We have set up two options for you to donate via online or text:

Option1: Online Option 2: via Text

Donate any amount via our secure PayPal account (you don’t need a Paypal account to do this)

All you need to do is text STRU01 + the amount you want to donate to 70070 for example, text:  STRUM01 £10

Alternatively if you would like to organise a Strummerville event in your own town with local bands in order to raise money for the charity please download our Fundraising Guidelines →
